Meet your new favourite band and May’s ALT Artist of the Month – Federal Lights!
Federal Lights has a new album coming out next month, and the fact that they are even a band at all at this point is unlikely.
After putting out three albums, the band and singer-songwriter Jean Guy found that the vision of what the band should be and what it actually was had a gulf between it that was too great.
They quietly broke the band up.
However, the pull of making music was too great, and Federal Lights came back together to write and record a very personal album about their experience.
That album, “Celebration of Failure”, comes out June 18th.
